Healthcare

UBC International website has excellent resources about Healthcare and health insurance. From who pays for doctor visits to how much coverage is available for prescription medication.

Becoming ill in a new place with different foliage, viruses, and just different people, is not unusual and sometimes, it is just part of moving! Success in academia begins with being healthy, take care of yourself, and if you need to visit the clinic and follow the recommendations.

Two suggestions to keep in mind are the UBC Clinic for students (they do IMED direct billing so a very good option) and the UBC Village for family. Also the Khatsahlano Clinics. Until you get your Care card sorted out, you may need to pay in advance and get refunded.
